Committees, Working Groups, and Neigborhood Groups

Communications committee <media@alleghenygreens.org> - The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining the official GPOAC social media accounts--such as Instagram, Twitter (a.k.a. "X"), Facebook, and BlueSky--maintaining the AlleghenyGreens.org website, updating the calendar, and sending periodic emails to members about upcoming events and meetings.

Finance/Fundraising committee <finance@alleghenygreens.org> - The Finance Committee maintains the financial records for the GPOAC, solicits membership dues, and coordinates fundraising activities.

GreenWave committee <greenwave@alleghenygreens.org> - The GreenWave Committee recruits and trains candidates for local and state political races, coordinates volunteer efforts to their campaigns, and provides support navigating the complex landscape of electoral politics.

Outreach committee <outreach@alleghenygreens.org> - The Outreach Committee plans social events and tabling, as well as keeping in touch with members and activating them to turn out for events and actions.

East End -  including Oakland, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, East Liberty, Homewood, Larimer, Lincoln, Lemington, Belmar, Penn Hills, Plum, Verona, Oakmont, Regent Square, Point Breeze, Swissvale, Edgewood, Wilkinsburg, and the nearby areas

South Side -  including Banksville, Beechview, Brookline, Beltzhoover, Allentown, Knoxville, Carrick, Mt. Oliver, Arlington, Southside Flats, Southside Slopes, and the nearby areas
